LCV is thrilled to announce that we are launching our 2018 GreenRoots member mobilization program today. Since 2012, LCV has mobilized our members through our GreenRoots program to help elect pro-environment candidates up and down the ballot. Thousands of LCV members have knocked on doors, made phone calls, waved signs and rallied to help put environmental champions like Catherine Cortez Masto and Gary Peters over the top. From New Hampshire to New Mexico, GreenRoots volunteers in their green LCV t-shirts have been an active and visible force, helping elevate the importance of climate action.

In 2018, we need to elect environmental champions and win a pro-environment majority in Congress to help put the brakes on the Trump administration’s non-stop attacks on our environment. We also need to continue to build leadership in the states and advance clean energy and climate progress. To help elect climate champions, LCV is excited to launch our GreenRoots program to mobilize our members in this incredibly important period. With an investment of at least $1 million, LCV will be recruiting our members in:

• Michigan
• Minnesota
• Montana
• Nevada
• New Hampshire
• Ohio
• Pennsylvania
• Tennessee
• Virginia
• Washington
• Wisconsin

These states all have critical races that can tip the balance for advancing climate and clean energy at the state and federal levels in the years ahead. Our organizers will be hitting the ground in the coming days, and thousands of LCV members will be stepping up over the next 56 days.
